We look at what the product offering is expected to be near-term and into 2006 for the end-user (both individuals & small businesses), and for the developer.

Two things of potential interest from eWeek and Information Week.  First, from eWeek is details about Sun's new UltraSPARC T1 processor, and what it could mean to data-centers & competition to the "web tier" sector dominated by x86 running Linux.

And second, from Thomas Claburn @ Information Week with an introductory review of TransMedia's Glide product line of 12-browser based applications that include the following functions: Mail, Contacts, Shops, Photos, Music, Video, Docs, and Video/Audio conferencing.
